Well, the weather here has changed to Spring, so I wanted nails to match!
Wednesday evening I decided that I wanted to do something special on my day off, Thursday.
I went to my favourite theatre ticket site to see if there was anything left for the following day and I discovered tickets for Wicked, which I really wanted to see. So, perfect!
I wrote to some of the other au pairs to ask if anyone wanted to join me, and in the end we were three girls.
I dressed for the occation, wearing as much green (and black) as possible, as seen above.
It was absolutely AMAZING!
Only knowing the ‘The Wizard of Oz’/Dorothy part of the story it was so wonderful to see this side.
I really do have to go see more musicals and plays.
Fortunately I just read that tickets for The Globe’s new season go on sale next Monday and it includes The Tempest with Roger Allam and Colin Morgan (Merlin) - I’m so excited!
I was supposed to see Skyfall last weekend, but it was sold out.
I did these nails the evening before as part of my Bond inspired outfit, which I of course forgot to take a picture of.
Dark red as blood and gold because…. Goooooldfingeeer!
I finally saw the movie this Sunday instead and it was absolutely BRILLIANT!
I loved it!
And I found the scene in The National Gallery extra wonderful because me and my mother sat exactly there, in front of that Turner painting, a couple of weeks ago!
Halloween nails!
Sherlock nails!
Made with Konad, inspired by the wallpaper in 221b:
Made them the night before I had a lunch date at Speedy’s with a couple of the other girls.
New nail art.
Play away!
Diy Autumn Jewellery
When I walked with the girls the other day I spotted some acorns on the ground and picked them up, not really knowing why.
I also found some pine cones and decided to make some autumn jewellery.
It’s been quite cold these last days and I can smell that autumn is on it’s way, and I might as well embrace it!
So, pine cone necklace and acorn brooch.
And also new deep purple nail polish - an autumn colour in my eyes.
When you move to London, you better have nails to match!
Lace nail art
I made these nails the other day.
It’s lace-inspired Konad stamps and I ended up quite loving the blue and white together.
Pics from before I cleaned up around the edges.
Konad nail art.
I’ll be posting some more from the last couple of weeks!
