Saturday’s Shenanigans
This past Saturday I went to a Vintage Fair in Shoreditch.
It’s not there very often, but I’ve been once or twice before.
It’s really great and there are lots of things!
Some is very old and cost a lot, but there are also bargain suitcases.
And they always have a tea room!
This time they had the most amazing cupcakes and cakes and tea and ugh, it was perfect!
And there were games on the tables, so me and Sarah played a few rounds of backgammon.
I found and bought quite a few things and I’ll post pictures of them when I’ve taken some proper ones.
In the evening we had tickets for Singin’ In The Rain.
It was really cute and the performers were SO good!
We sat quite high up so we could see the footwork and everything and it was amazing!
It was a wonderful day!
I made shoes to match the bag!
Nail polish splashed on black flats.
It’s an easy and fun diy project!
The Carrie Purse
Some of you may know that a new tv series called The Carrie Diaries has aired. It’s based on a book by the author of Sex and the City and follows a younger Carrie Bradshaw.
In the first episode Carrie’s sister spills nail polish on her purse and Carrie decides to give it a makeover instead of throwing it.
I decided to try it and above you can see the result!
Here’s the original:
If any of you decide to try it too, do link me to pictures - I’d love to see them!
Today is my 21st birthday, and I managed to celebrate a bit, even though it was a work day.
I had breakfast on a bench in the park and I dressed up in a bit fancier than I usually wear (okay, sometimes I wear really fancy clothes on normal days, but not that often!).
And then I brought home sushi, which I had for lunch in my break.
The bag and the skirt are new btw.,
polka-tots said: That dress looks amazing on you! Super lovely.
Thanks darling!
Tomorrow’s my birthday, but since I had to work today and tomorrow, Sarah came here yesterday at noon and we spent the afternoon talking and getting ready for the evening.
Last time we saw each other we watched “North and South” and sighed over the lovely costumes and the hair, so we decided to try and create hair styles inspired by what we had seen.
Quite Pride and Prejudice-like, actually.
It took quite a while, but it was really fun and we got a really good result, if I may say so.
I wore my new dress, which I found in a charity shop. It’s never been worn and I absolutely love it!
Espcially the cut-out in the back.
When we were finally ready, we took The Tube to Islington where we had dinner and drinks at a lovely pub called ‘The Library’.
I know, I should live there, shouldn’t I?
The flag was sent to me from my friend Franciska and we took it with us.
Thank you Ciska, it made it much more birthday-like!
Had my first crumpet the other day.
Am I accepted here yet?
Outfit from yesterday.
It was the first day where it was possible to wear normal right instead of thermo tights, and not be cold!
The bag and the skirt are from my day of shopping with Sarah, last Friday.
World Pillow Fight Day!
Me and 4 of my friends took part in WPFD yesterday in Trafalgar Square in London!
It was the most fun I’ve had in a long time!
300-400 people of all ages (most around 25 but also children and old people) had a gigantic pillow fight that went on for more than an hour!
As you can see, there were feathers everywhere! In our eyes, ears, noses and throats! In our hair and on our clothes and all over Trafalgar Square! We even saw some on Leicester Square when we went there after.
Our choice of red pillows makes it easy to spot us on official photos. Pretty cool actually!
